First of all that’s not a Margherita pizza pictured there. I know. I know.
This happens to me a lot.
I forgot to take a picture of the actual pizza I’m talking about. And I did in fact make this one as well, just two weeks ago, and it has colby jack cheese and turkey pepperoni, instead. But I trust your imagination can get you from the above delicious marvel, to the one of which I speak, that included fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil.
Also, while I’m confessing, I can’t really call this a recipe.
It’s more a tip.
A life choice if you will.
An imperative little nugget of information, that should you choose to use it, could possibly change your life.
Make these pizzas in a million different ways, for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack. . . you’ll never get bored of them.
AND. . .you’ll never feel guilty about giving an unhealthy snack to the ones you love. It’s healthy if what you add to it is healthy.
Today, I’m making my favorite all time pizza, Margherita. Made simply with my favorite jarred marinara, and delivered to the lunchbox, fresh and hot, in less than 15 minutes.
Watch the video below, where I actually remembered what I was doing, and recorded myself making this ACTUAL pizza, as well as my dog going wee-wee, changing my fish tank water, and all the other things one does in the morning whilst trying to get their kids out the door.
It’s no wonder why I forgot to take the picture. Oh well, enjoy!
Quick Margherita Personal Pizza
Ingredients:
Pre-made Flatbread (I used pocketless pita bread that I always keep in my freezer)
Jar of Marinara Sauce
Grated Cheese (today I used fresh mozzarella, it takes a little longer to cook because of all the moisture)
Tomato Slices
Fresh Basil
Turkey Pepperoni (not usually added, but today i was low on tomatoes, lol . .story of my life)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
2.Layer flatbread with marinara, cheese, tomatoes, basil, and turkey pepperoni if using.
3. Place in oven for 5-7 minutes, or until cheese melts and the crust turns a light golden brown.
