“I made you something to bring to class. . . . . .Marshmallow Crispy Treats.”
The kid raises one eyebrow, then leans in to inspect.
“Are these homemade?” she asks.
A smile rises in her mother’s face. A knowing look. “Yup. They are.”
Eyes aglaze, with a pink hue to her lips, her mouth begins to salivate and she shoves her younger sister aside to get just. one. whiff.
The torch has been passed.

I know, you know how to make these.
You know, I know how to make these.
But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t type it out, in black and white and look at it and marvel that only 3 little ingredients can make something so superb.
Something that would make children squeal with delight.
Something that would tempt adults to sneak just one more bight.
You might think you can buy these in the grocery.
You can’t.
No really. You can’t.
What you’ll buy will be harder, mushed up, and WAY too tough.
Sure they’ll be good. But they won’t be great.
THESE will be great. AND YOU WILL be great.
And that’s why you’re here, on earth, in the first place. To be great, with the least amount of effort.
I MADE 3 PANS IN 20 MINUTES!!!!! Easy, lovely, sweet, crispy, buttery, goodness. |
I just thought you might need the reminder.
Your welcome.

Throw a sprinkle or two on top and dare I say it, you’ll be STELLAR.
Well. . . .you’re stellar anyway.
But now the rest of the world will know it.

There is nothing better then homemade rice crispy treats… so much fun.. to make them extra fancy (or for cheap GIFTS, hello???!!!) we cut them out with cookie cutter and dip in colored chocolate, they are always a hit as a gift/treat.
Great idea! Wish I would have thought about that last Christmas for my
neighbors when i was too tuckered out to bake anymore.
Those look so good! I remember when my mom learned how to make homemade marshmallows. To this day those rice krispies treats are the best i’ve ever tasted.. I’m going to teach my kids how to make them like that. My 9 year old has already mastered the original recipe and enjoys making them for daddy.
oh my. now i’m all in a tizzy. rice crispy treats with homemade
marshmallows. i’ve just fainted.
Is there a more splendid marshmellowey treat in all the world? Me thinks not. If ever you were to chit-chat with my besties from high school, they would LOVE to tell you about the time we were making RK treats and I tried to throw them in the oven. I had no idea something so lovely could require so little effort that baking wasn’t even required. Glorious.
Yummers, yummers, yummers!!! That is all.
