Bella recently informed me that she wants to be a Little Girl Witch for Halloween.
I couldn’t be happier.
Apparently, she wants to be the little girl witch to my Mommy Witch. I’m a little less thrilled with this, considering I was going to be a Gypsy. But in the name of her happiness, I’ll be a witch too.
Bella says she wants to be Ugly just like me.
But not quite as ugly as me. More like Ugly Pretty. And scary. But not too scary. And definitely make her witchy, but not an ordinary witch, she’d like to be a bit sparkly.
And she’d like that now.

I’m definitely no make-up artist. But I am expected to me one this time of year. My kids take their Halloween costumes very seriously, and if I screw up, it’s off with my head.
So, to ward off any evil spells, and wet teary faces on Halloween Night, we are doing a dry run to see if the ideas that swirl around in my head, match up to the ideas she has brewing in her own.
This is what we did to make Bella a Not Too Scary, Kinda Pretty, and a Little Ugly Witch.
What You Need:
White Halloween Cake make-up
Liquid Foundation (a few shades lighter than the subjects skin color)
Black Eyeliner Pencil
Black/Dark Brown Liquid Liner
Glitter Make-Up
White Eye Shadow
Dark Brown Lip Pencil
Dark Red Lipstick
Start with a blank palette.
Add a light layer of White Halloween Make-Up all over face. This make-up doesn’t spread too easily, so add a bit of foundation, little by little until the entire face is covered. The subject should still look normal, just more pale and sickly.
Using your black eyeliner pencil, draw large arched eyebrows and fill in.
Next, using your liquid liner, draw a spider web that comes down from the subjects left eye. Dust with glitter. Dust eyelids with white eye shadow.
Draw on simple black mole on the right side of her nose.
Lightly rub foundation on the lips. This will keep the lipstick on longer. Outline with lip pencil. Fill in with Dark Red Lipstick.
Dust neck line and chest with more glitter. And you’re done!
