Green Apple Tea Slush

My brains are pushing on the edge of my skull trying to get out.
I can feel the thumping. Thump. Pound. Thump. Pound.

If my children ask me for something to eat ONE MORE TIME, I think the thumping will cease, my head will just burst open and my brains will splatter EVERYWHERE.

I really think it could happen.
WHY ARE THEY SO HUNGRY?
WHY MUST THEY LOOK AT ME LIKE I AM STARVING THEM?
HOW DOES SO MUCH FOOD FIT IN SUCH SMALL MOUTHS?

I don’t really want to know the answer to that.
I don’t really care.

In the past hour these things have been consumed by my children:
5 eggs, scrambled
4 glasses of milk
1 grapefruit
2 large pickles
Yogurt, peach
Frosted Mini Wheats
and Toast.

And it’s just 9 AM.
And they want more.
I don’t think that’s normal.

I just want to slurp on something that will make me feel good, maybe give me a brain freeze, and make me forget that my children might eat me out of house and home.

GREEN APPLE TEA SLUSH
By the way, The Woo Klan loves Green Apple Slushes from Sonic. But I don’t love that crazy Green Color. I made this for them as a substitute, and they like it even better.

Ingredients:

2 cups of Sweet Green Tea
2 TB sugar
2 TB honey
1 TB Lemon Juice
1/2 cup Apple Juice
4 cups ice

Directions:

1. In a small bowl, combine apple juice, lemon juice and sugar. Stir to dissolve sugar.
2. In a blender add tea, honey, and apple juice mixture. Blend. Add ice. Blend until smooth. Serve in tall glasses with a straw, and slurp the mess out of that bad boy.
