Homemade Strawberry Syrup for Pancakes or Anything you might want to make beautiful music with.

I’m not playing around here.

This stuff is PERFECT. With a capital P-E-R-FECT. I’m tired of typing those dashy things.

It’s like when you went to The Pancake House when you were a kid, and they had allEX300 exam
those fantastic syrups at your table and you thought you were in heaven.
You remember that. . . . . . because you were.
In heaven.
I know.  Because that’s were this recipe came from.
An angel.
Nigella.
Only she made hers with blueberries.
I guess because strawberries weren’t on sale.
And she used Maple Syrup.
Probably because she’s rich.
A rich angel.
But I’m not.
I’m poor.
With 50 million kids who use syrup like bath water.
I’m a poor ‘non’ angel with 700 zillion kids.
But I do aspire to be an angel.
I think after making this strawberry syrup, I might just earn my wings.

Strawberry Pancake Syrup
Inspired by Nigella Lawson
You certainly don’t need to use strawberries. Use whatever fruit that tickles your fancy.  My kids really like mixed berry. I make it using frozen mixed berries.  Apples are also lovely. Peaches would be divine. Make it however you circusgold want, for whomever you want.  They will love you till the end of time.
Ingredients:

1/2 cup Pancake Syrup ( You could also use maple syrup, corn syrup . . .probably even agave nectar)
1 1/2 cups of strawberries, chopped(or whatever fruit you fancy)

Directions:

1. Pour syrup into a small saucepan, and bring to boil.  Add berries.
2. Allow to cook on at a nice simmer for about 10 minutes, until the mixture forms a nice syrup and coats the back of a spoon. Remove from heat, pour into a pitcher and serve with pancakes.
