Child’s Cat Halloween Make-up (Scaredy Cat Costume) Picture Tutorial

There are a few things I want to tell you this morning.

1.  Anybody can do Halloween Make-up and make it look great.  I did this at exactly 49 minutes before my kid was supposed to walk out the door and go to the bus stop for school. Before we washed her hair and blow dryed it. Before breakfast. Before anything. And I still did it. And I didn’t even do my best. It took maybe. . .. 10 minutes. Tops.  I’m not saying this to pat myself on the back. . .but honestly. . .what harm could that do. . . . .you can do it too. . .it seems very detailed. . .but it is WAY easy.

2.Bella (pictured) is a scaredy cat. Literally and figuratively. That’s what her costume is. . .and she is afraid of everything. EVERYTHING. Even Harry Potter. And animals. Furry cute ones. Shadows. Not following the rules.  EVERYTHING.

3.  This has nothing to do with anything. . .but. . . .I’m supposed to go picking Lemons this morning.  I am/was very excited. Not sure if its going to happen.  Shelbi woke up with a swollen eye. She’s on the couch right now. What gives? Yesterday was her birthday. . .and now she’s thirteen, with the world as her oyster, and one eye swollen shut. Too bad it’s not Halloween. I’m sure we could have worked that into the costume. Oh well.  I guess that’s life.

Hope my day starts to work out a little bit better. Who am I kidding? It’s been pretty great so far. Halloween Make-up. . . . Stellar. Time with my teenager acting like a baby. . .every mother’s dream. . .and picking lemons would just send me to the moon, I think.

HERE’S HOW TO PUT HALLOWEEN CAT

MAKE-UP ON YOUR KID AT 6 AM AND

HAVE IT LOOK AWESOME!

WHAT YOU NEED: Black Gel Eye Line White Stage Make-up White Eye Shadow White Eye Liner Black Lipstick

With my finger I applied white stage makeup in the shape of an inverted triangle on her forehead. Pulling it down slightly between her eyes.

I traced her eyebrows with gel liner, making a few stray furry lines above and lining her upper eye lid. In the corner of her eyes I drew a small vertical line, almost like a tear drop.  We used a little white eyeshadow on her upper brow.

Painted the bottom of her nose black. Drew a line with the eye liner connecting her nose and mouth. 5 dots on either side of her mouth for whiskers. White eye pencil to draw the whiskers.. . .and black lipstick to finish it off.

She absolutely is going to scare the pants off of somebody. Maybe herself.

 Little cutie pie.
