Rihanna – Rude Boy

Now I know, this is not the same Rihanna.

This cannot be the same Rihanna that was reportedly assaulted by her boyfriend. Who had major contusions on both sides of her face, a black eye, a split lip, bloody nose, and bite marks on one of her arms and several fingers [via tmz] .

That Rihanna would not sing the lyrics,

“I like the way you touch me there
I like the way you pull my hair
Baby, if I don’t feel it,
I ain’t faking no, no”

No, that Rihanna was clearly on Diane Sawyer saying she learned her lesson, and wouldn’t be blinded by love anymore [via popeater ] .

This CANNOT be the same girl who sat in a car, and was allegedly choked and lost consciousness all under the hands of Chris Brown [via Spin] .

Because, then it would be CRAZY to sing a song entitled “Rude Boy”.

A song in which she is practically yelling for her lover to

“Take it, take it, baby, baby
Take it, take it, love me, love me.”

Surely by now, someone would have told her that love always feels good. That it is always kind, gentle and nurturing. It is something that is given. Not taken.

I really hope this is not the same Rihanna. Because if it is, it makes me so sad.

If art truely imitates life, then I can hear the beauty in the rhythm, but the lyrics seem to be tearing the song apart.
