15 Minute Supper

Uuuuuuh. . . . .well. . . .I couldn’t “make” dinner because I’m half-way addicted to Facebook.  When my daughter Shelbi saw me taking a picture of this plate, she said “Oh, you gonna put that on your blog to show people how to buy their dinner from a store?”

Alright, smarty pants, I got something for you later. But for now, this is just a little post to explain how much I love the conveniences of the Grocery Store.

  • I bought the Rotisseriere chicken from Sam’s for $4.98 ; can’t make it that cheap.
  • The asparagus were snapped, drizzled with olive oil, sprinkled with salt and roasted in an 350 degree oven for 15 minutes.
  • The noodles are whole wheat, boiled for 12 minutes and tossed with Classico Alfredo Sauce from a jar.

Sweet Bella had 4 helpings of everything, and asked if we could have this once a week.  Her favorite part, the juicy asparagus. “I like it better when you don’t burn it.” she said. “Yeh, so does Daddy.” I replied.

  1. I love rotisserie chicken, too! Always wondered about a quick & easy way to prep asparagus. The one recipe I’ve tried was only so-so; I’m looking forward to the 15-minute roasted version. Although the jar sauce is way too convenient, I can give you a quick and easy “homemade” alfredo sauce recipe if you’d like so you can tell Shelbi that it didn’t come from a jar!
