Halloween DIY: Little Girl Swan (Lake) Costume and Make-Up

Ok people. It’s do or die time.

And I think I’m dying.

Only 1 day left until Halloween and I’m just now thinking about my children and their costumes.

Oops.

“Mommy! Are we going to do our costumes today?”

“No.”

“What about today?”

“No.”

“Can we do it tomorrow?”

“Probably not.”

“What about now?”

“Absolutely not, and if you ask me one more time, I’m cancelling Halloween. And don’t think I won’t do it!”

I’m a horrible mother.

But luckily for them, I’m also a liar, and a bit dramatic.

This year because we are under the gun, all costumes are being made with stuff we already have at home.  Which I’ve got to tell you, in my humble opinion is in the spirit of Halloween. Paper costumes? Great! Old sheets dressed up as ghosts? FANTASTIC!  Mommy’s Urban Decay make-up for a Princess/Queen/Ruler of the Universe? Sounds just about perfect.

Anyway, Soledad always picks something completely different from anything I could have ever dreamed up.

This year, she picked a swan.

And this is what we pulled together. . . .last night.

Line and fill in the lips!

Pull on the tutu! Wrap the scarf around shoulders, pin at breast, and wrap the remaining length around the torso and pin again in the back.
