Finally. I’m starting to work on my garden. In my garden. Around my garden. But. . . . Geez Louise. I’m late. Last year, all my plants were in the ground by April 4th. Oh. Woe is me. But then I looked again, and in 2010, I didn’t get around to it until April 16th. Guess what today is? Yeah buddy. April 17th. I’m right on time for being behind. What a relief. It was stressing me out a bit. I kept telling myself, gardening is a hobby. Don’t stress crazy cakes. Just plant and be happy. Read more […]
Nana just got an iPhone. She loves it.I love it.She has a Words with Friends Game (similar to scrabble) going on with EVERY member of my family. Except Phoebe, and as soon as Feebs gets an iPod touch, I’m sure she’ll oblige.I told her, “Mommy, I’m really busy, I don’t have a lot of time to play games, but I’ll try.”And it took me like two weeks but, now I’m in and I’m loving it.Also, she sends the funniest texts.Whenever she types, “Oh, boy!” It comes out “Ho Boy!”, which makes me chuckle every. I need to figure out what do when I’m in an exercise class and I discover that I have no abdominal muscles and my arms don’t work. Hint: Don’t cry.Also. . .against my better judgement, I went to Spin Class. And I spun. But, and as warned, it did feel slightly like I had a rod up my rear, Read more […]

On Friday we cleaned out the guest bedroom, making way for Christmas cheer and holiday guest (Nana) and cleaned up the house a bit.Saturday, we watched True Blood in bed until 9 am, watched two soccer games, and then pulled out the Christmas lights and started hanging. Don’t worry, we won’t turn them on until Thanksgiving weekend. We ate Chinese (from the freezer). And my kids loved me for it. Then after they went to bed, I made a Butterscotch Bread Pudding (coming soon) poured myself and Warwick Read more […]
